I take a wide which they don't make. Wanted this shoe badly so ordered it anyway. Can get it on with thin or no socks and using a shoehorn. Very comfortable and lots of favorable comments. Yes, I am type A.
I knew these were good looking driving shoes from the pictures on the website, but what I am really excited about—after having opened the box and trying them on—is the level of comfort these provide. On the inside, these aren't flat-soled, flimsy, hastily-sewn-together mocs; they have layers of supple leather cushioning integrated into the insoles. Try them on, honestly, and what you thought was a good looking loafer will turn out to be a pair of clouds strapped to your feet.
Ordered and received them direct from Sperry rather quickly, just returned from vacation in Mexico and wore the almost every evening, very comfortable I would highly recommend this shoe to anyone looking for a super comfortable and sylish loafer!
I usually wear Sperry boat shoes until it snows in Buffalo. I picked these to transition from Summer to Winter. I would recommend with one exception. The bottom tread is very slippery! Not what you would expect based on appearance.
Just recieved these two weeks ago. Perhaps the most comfortable shoe I have ever purchased. My feet sweat, but not in these shoes. I find sperry to run a bit big, but these are true to size so order what you wear.
I was unable to find 9 1/2 Wide in this shoe, and ordered 10 Medium, which usually fits me. It was way too narrow and uncomfortable. But I also noticed that, compared to other Sperry Topsiders that I have, the quality of this shoe - materials, construction, overall appearance, etc. - was vastly inferior. I did not even look for the wider size online.
I purchased the blue, but was a little afraid the color would be a little to pale or bright for what I was looking for. When they arrived I was quite pleasantly surprised, they were a rich darker blue that complemented the amaretto leather accent perfectly.
At first wear they felt a little big, but a few minutes later they fit fine. Sockless, the shoes and my feet conformed to each other perfectly. I was also impressed by the breathability. I have sweaty feet, but no issues with these sockless.
This is a great shoe. Very comfortable and well made. Looks good and the knobby sole works provides just the right amount of cushioning, and is great in the rain and snow. I was a little worried because I have an extra wide foot and it only comes in M width, but it is soft and fits well since I ordered half a size up.
Very comfortable with very soft footbed and stretchy leather upper. I bought them because I needed something more casual/comfortable than my Allen Edmonds, and I am very impressesed. The sole feels a little narrow (which is fine because I have narrow feet), but still the most comfortable shoes I have ever bought. Also, great to drive in with the curved heal.
