Directions warn not to soak the shoe, but that is nearly impossible to do. Need some experience in wet weather to evaluate effectiveness.

I bought this on vacation and when I got home, I realized that the store representative put the wrong spray in my bag. I had the refresher instead of the protector. The customer service representative at Sperry was OUTSTANDING! She apologized for the mistake and shipped me out what I needed. I will continue to recommend Sperry to all of my friends!

The only other review on this product said it did not work and actually stained her shoes. I don't know what she's talking about- I used it on my Bluefish Classic 2-Eye boat shoes and it went on great (did not stain) and has kept my shoes looking neat and pretty. You do need to reapply every now and again and it doesn't complete waterproof, but it keeps stains from setting.

This product is a joke. I bought this for my Sperry Top-Sider: Boat Oxford Desert Boot. Doesn't do anything for them. In fact, it might have even stained my shoes. As a result I cannot recommend this product. Terrible product.
