I'm very glad that Sperry offers the replacement show laces for their products, and I don't have to buy a generic shoe lace.
I bought these shoes at Christmas and the original laces did not last very long, but since I was able to get ones just like the original laces there was no issue.

I just replaced the laces in my old original style navy leather topsiders with bright purple laces. They look fresh and fun and it totally updated the look of my old classic favorites!! It took only 2 or 3 minutes with the included tool and couldn't be easier. I also have a tan pair of topsiders and purchased the light blue laces for those. Love the look!!

Too wide...

I was excited to get these, as I had ordered the raspberry color to match the pattern of my new Sperry's. But after opening the package I was disappointed in how thick the laces themselves were. At first I thought they were men's laces.. but I double checked and saw it's "one size fits all". But these laces were twice the thickness of the ones that came with the shoes. Because of the thickness, I had trouble getting them to stay in the needle.. most of the time they just got stuck after the first hole. I'm pretty sure I attached them to the needle correctly, as I had no problem threading the old laces back through. They didn't lay correctly through the grommets, so I ended up just going to a craft store and getting 8 yds of pink suede laces for about 4 bucks... =)

I agree, these laces are to wide for my shoes. Also the needle didn't fit into the shoe eyelets. I notified the company and I'm still waiting for the replacment child laces they are suppossed to be sending.

The replacement laces are a great way to extend the life of a perfectly good pair of shoes. Easy to re-lace, they even include a lacing needle.

We used these laces for my daughter's shoes that aren't actually true Sperry's but they worked wonderfully. Very easy to use the stringing needle that comes with it. Had to just burn the end of the lace slightly to fit it into the needle. Would definitely recommend these.

The needle was to large to go through the eyelets and the leather lace wouldn't adhere properly to the grooves in the needle head. I took the shoe to a repair shop & they had white laces with a pliable metal inbedded in the leather lace itself & would weave nicely through the casing & in & out the outlets. I would have preferred the silver color but I couldn't make it work.

The lace kit made my Sperry's look new and stylish, even though they were an old, simple pair. Now they stand out, and net me several compliments whenever I wear them. Like others have said, "threading" the needle can be a bit tricky and frustrating, but worth the effort.

The color reads different on the computer than in person. It will cost you almost as much as the product cost you to send it back at their highly reccomended UPS. I just kept the other ones that I orderd because it was going to cost $9.78 to return them. Browns are real tricky. They are better than the original shoe laces.

My shoelaces on my Sperry's broke a few years ago, and I have just now gotten around to replacing them. This kit was as good as expected. It was a little difficult to get the lace threaded on the needle, but I got it to work. Shipping was a little slow.

Great lacing needle

The lacing needle worked perfectly. However the laces I received were not the plain rawhide I expected. They had a thin film of gold on the inside of the lace. With some difficulty and some patience, I was able to strip the gold coating off and ended up with a perfect (non-colored) rawhide lace.
