Unlike most other reviewers here, I didn't buy these shoes for boating. I bought them to have as a general kick around shoe. I really don't care for "sneakers" in general, but I need a sneaker style shoe that I can use to mix up with my other everyday shoes, so I can adjust how much wear each pair gets. I love the styling of the shoe, nice and trim. Sneakers are often so puffy and fat looking. Not these. I tend to look for slightly wider shoes (as some other reviewers said these shoe are very narrow) but I didn't find them to be too narrow. I'd say they are EVER so slightly narrow. I think if these shoes are too narrow for some, I think they may simply need to be looking for a size W in their shoes. I often wear a size 10. Sometimes a 9.5. This shoe fits me well in a 9.5. I don't feel like I am "pushing" the fit too much either. There is enough length to the foot bed and *just* enough width on my largest foot. Sperry, please keep making this style shoe! I love these and I don't see them for sale in the department stores either (Nordstrom, etc). I'll keep checking the Sperry website if I have to, so I can get this style shoe every year or so!

The SeaRace Sneaker is great for those of us who like to feel like we are not wearing "traditional" boots while on the water! They are light weight and dry quickly; perfect for big boat sailing. I think another feature that is super important is their durability. I beat up my feet pretty badly and usually have to go through multiple pairs of boots per training camp. The SeaRace Sneakers have lasted much longer than other boots I have tried!

I think it's asking a lot of a shoe to completely stick you to a wet foredeck while racing in high winds and a big swell, but I have tried numerous different shoes and this one gives me the best traction so far.

I like the shoe as it is, thus far very sticky. It is, however, almost painfully narrow. If you have more than an average width foot don't consider this shoe!

Most uncomfortable shoe I have ever worn. No padding at all in the front, foot is like sloped down and the front of the foot nonstop hurts all the time.
Definitely not shoes for being on your feet. or doing any walking at all they look pretty but that is it.
Extremely narrow. If you are a wide or close to a wide, these are not for you.

This is an awesome shoe. My 12 year old daughter sails and is very active. She wanted a shoe with good grip, comfort and looked good - this shoe has it all!! The color is great, although a little "blacker" than it shows online. Not a problem though, the color really pops without being obnoxious. Great purchase. One review said it was off by a 1/2 size. We ordered like that originally, had to return it then ordered true to size. This one fits great.

This is a complaint! The website showed a shoe with a black
dimensional grid and a green background material. Similar to my men's "sea racer". What I received was a shoe that had a printed grid, not dimensional one. This was a gift for my daughter who was very disappointed. She's going to return/exchange them.

Looks and feels like a great performance shoe for sailing. The sole is nice and grippy, but the fit is both narrow and at least a 1/2 size too long. Sorry to have to send them back but am optimistic that a smaller size will work.
