I am very pleased with the comfort and style of this shoe. I typically purchase very nice Italian brand shoes, but have been suffering with a neuroma that has precluded me from wearing many of them. I needed alternatives. This shoe allows me flexibility to change out the sole or wear it "as is," which happens to be very comfortable. It goes great with Khakis and Jeans.

A great shoe. Purchased recently before a long walking vacation - they fit a bit snug at first but no need to break in, wore them immediately for over a week, with and without socks, best shoes I've ever owned! The shoe actually molds to your foot for constant support and cushioning.

Bought this shoe for comfort and durability to wear on long flight to Europe--and through security in airports. Took a couple of weeks to break it in, and it was ready to go. Don't have another shoe that's more comfortable.

These seem to run a lot narrower than other shoes. Have 8 1/2 Wide Topsiders that fit perfectly - but these in 8 1/2 Wide are so tight that I cannot wear. Inconsistency of sizing from one style to the next apparent.

I stand for 9 hours a day at my job and in most shoes, my feet are killing me shortly after lunch. Not these, I wore them straight out of the box for 3 weeks every day (only changed shoes once cause I don't have a black pair yet) While it did take a day to get over the weight of the shoe, its so worth it for the comfort! I will be ordering more!!

As with all of Sperry's ASV line-up (I own five), the shoes are everything you could ask for right out of the box. The only problem I have found in the Venetian, in Dark Tan, is that it does not come in size W. Their other two colors are available in both M & W. Explain that???

achilles's heel rub issue

At first I liked every thing about the Venetian. They felt comfortable with bare feet righ out of the box but after wearing them for a very short period the shoe had rubbed my achilles tendon area above the heal raw. I think the back of the shoe comes up too high and is not adequetly padded in that area. This seems to be a design flaw as everything else is great about the shoe but the back should be lower or scalloped to prevent rubbing against the top of the heal.

I never wear socks and I love these shoes. I have been wearing Sperry Topsiders since I was a little kid running around our home in Pebble Beach. All us kiddos wore Topsiders sailing and just being kids. Love this shoe and will always buy these and Sperry Topsiders. Great shoes and you can wear them forever.
