I would recommend the "Authentic Original Penny Loafer" to anyone interested in a high quality, long wearing, casual shoe. You may want to consider ordering a 1/2 size larger for wear with socks.

Truly the best shoes I have ever had

I am a senior in high school as I write this review and am pleased to say that these are hands down the best shoes I have ever had. I bought these shoes my freshman year of high school trying to look stylish and what not. I have worn these shoes through almost every type of weather except for snow- because it doesn't snow in Houston. I have trekked spontaneously in the woods with these and the shoes show very little signs of wear. Meanwhile my other pairs of 'Vans' and athletic shoes have been replaced several times while these Sperrys keep on shining. My foot size has indeed changed over the years and because of the leather, that hasn't been a problem what so ever. The shoes are as comfortable as when I bought them.
I highly recommend these shoes.

I have large feet and some times it is hard finding good looking shoes that are also comfortable. These shoes fit the mold, good looking and they fit like a glove. I hope they make more colors in this style in the future in my size, 16 M.

I love the shoe, I truly wear a 12.5. The company would do well prodcing this in a size 12.5.
The 13 is Ok but 12.5 would be ideal.

Perfect shoe. Durable loafer. Anybody who has worn the Authentic Original Boat Shoe probably loved everything about them except the fact that they had laces. This shoe is the more stylish, more convenient, more mature version of the Authentic Original Boat Shoe. Slightly more formal, same durability and rubber sole you need.

Great Casual Penny Loafer

This is a great looking casual penny loafer. It is a little on the slim side but I ordered the same size as my Authentic Originals and with a shoe horn they went on and fit fine.
The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is right when I opened the box there were a few scuffs and blemishes to the leather, they almost looked like B-stock or something you would find at a discount store, not what you would order direct from the manufacturer. If I didn't need them for a wedding the next day I would have sent them back for a different pair. I'll stick to Zappos when buying shoes online, don't think I'll use this website again.

I agree with the Narrow Fit review. I'm a 10.5 in 95% of the shoes I purchase. No question I take a 10.5 in this shoe but I'm hoping that I have the patience to work with them in hopes of widening the shoe. I love the color, which is why I'm willing to give this some time.

I wear a size 11 sperry bought these to wear in a wedding with a linen suit, the shoe looks great, color is a true peanut butter color. Shoe was so narrow that they were very uncomfortable, im going to try and break them in rather than send back. wish me luck

I purchased these for my 22 year old brother as his first pair of dressier casual shoes and loved the color even more when they arrived! He is a true 9.5 in every other brand of shoe I have purchased for him, but unfortunately these were loose and a bit too wide. Given the nature of these shoes forming to your foot they just won't work unless the 9 comes back in stock. Anyways great shoe really disappointed it didn't work out!

I bought these shoes for myself (I am female)... I am rough on shoes and I prefer these due to the sturdier construction.. It is the second pair (the other were men shoes as well) and I am very satisfied with the fit, color, materials, and style...Just wish they were made in the USA :(

i bought a pair for my husband because he needed a pair of comfort shoes that are not sneakers, they were his first pair of sperry and he really liked them. he usually wears either 10.5 or 11, and i got him a 10.5 and they fit him perfectly, but the material stretches over time, so they will eventually get to almost size 11 after he breaks them in.

It's about time that someone produced a relaxed loafer so that you can (at least metaphorically) jump from the yacht club pier to the deck of your mid-life crisis without changing your foot-ware. Out of the box, these shoes go with your jeans or your shredded chinos the way a good old pair of canvas Top-siders do.

I have liked these shoes for years because of their "step in and go" ease. The loafer style is a good addition to the line, and makes a perfect slipper. I don't like the nubuck (spelling?) finish as well as the standard slightly shiny leather on my laced Topsiders. Also, my loafers (black) stain my socks.
