The laces were a perfect match for my sperry top siders. Unfortunately, an installation tool was not included and I had to pay a shoe shop to change laces.

Perfect Match for Replacement Laces

These are a perfect match for replacement laces in my several pairs of billfish shoes. The installation tool (needle) needs to either be included with the laces or offered with the laces. It is impossible to use the laces without the installation tool

I have purchased several pairs of these replacement laces and they are easy to install using the Sperry needle. Quality is good and they are a perfect match for the original laces. The price is high for shoe laces, and the added shipping cost makes them even higher.

Searching and searching for replacement laces for the billfish that are 4" shorter in length. I wear a size 9 shoe and the laces drag on the ground! Please make a shorter lace for this shoe!

Cumbersome to install new laces. Original laces were tack glued inside the shoe, make sure the laces pull freely (takes careful deliberate force), then sew the new lace to the existing (maximum passes for strength), end-to-end, needle and thread through fabric only. I used a cheap hotel mending kit, push-pull combined laces one eyelet at a time to minimize stress on the cotton thread. High price paid, expensive laces for expensive shoes. Unable to buy on open market. The original laces were not durable, in the least and frayed badly, hopefully the new laces will wear a little better.

Sperry sells these laces, but there is no way to re-tread the shoe. Some companies include a tool that might let you get the laces back in, but not Sperry. Good luck if you buy these.

These laces are labeled as being 42 inches. They are actually 45.5 inches and are thus too long.

When you buy the Billfish (which this lace is for) the lace in that shoe is about 45 inches long. The lace is a little stretchy since it's a woven chord. That might make it harder to measure. I agree the package should be changed, but the 45in lace Sperry sends in that package is the same in length as what they send in the Billfish shoes.
