I rarely write reviews for anything I purchase, but this shoe deserves one. I've had one other pair of Sperry's in my life and I loved them. This time, I decided to step up to the Gold Cup and I have not been disappointed. This shoe fits great, it's incredibly comfortable and worth every penny!

A few reviewers have mentioned the shoes being 1/2 size too large. I found that my 8 1/2 shoes fit my son's size 10 foot. There is clearly a significant problem with sizing for this shoe. I would not recommend it unless you're prepared to return it atr least once for resizing.

I'm writing this reveiw for my boyfriend because he doesn't usually do these. I bought these for him because he really liked them and wanted a pair of Sperry's. He put them on and could literally not stop raving about how comfortable they were. He said they were truly the most comfortable shoes that he's ever worn. He has wide feet, so he had to get the wide ones...and they were true to size and wide enough for him. He keeps telling everyone of our friends how comfortable they are. I'm sure he'll be buying these from now on in the future.

The outer surface of the dark brown leather is falling off primarily on one shoe in less than a years time.. I have a much older second pair in tan and it is fine. I have other top siders up to 20 yrs old with no leather problems.

An exceptional product. Bought the first pair from the cute sales girl at Nordstrom's and thought I'd been had. Seemed like a lot for a lousy boat shoe. Then when you realize that you'd rather wear them than anything else, the money makes plenty sense.

This is the most comfortable shoe I have, except for the Gold Cup Venetians I also bought. The deerskin lining feels like a cashmere sock, great support and can be worn all day. Water spots don't show. I wear orthotics and was surprised that I didn't go up a half size to accommodate them. I'm looking forward to more Gold Cup products!

This shoe is designed to disguise its rather thick outsole. The thicker outsole and the memory foam footbed combine to make an extremely comfortable shoe. The footbed is removable so one can insert orthotics beneath it. A good value for the price.

I usually wear a wider shoe but it depends on the specific shoe. I wear other Sperry's in a wide but this one does not work. The shape of the toe box is more curved than other Sperry boat shoes. I have ordered an XW to try.
Shoe has better arch support and cushioning than others.

I thought I was re-ordering a Gold Cup Billfish 3-Eye Boatshoe identical to a pair I've had and really liked for about two years. While they look almost identical, they differ in an important respect: the heel of the newer model does not rise up and fit the user's heel as fully as the predecessor model. Because the heel is cut slightly lower on the new model, it does not exert the same comfort-aiding grip on one's heel. They look great, but an important comfort feature has been sacrificed with this subtle style change.
