This is at least my 10th pair of sperry boat shoes I have purchased, unfortunately this is the 1st time I have been disappointed in your product. I wear your shoes with no sox's & have never had an issue in the past but these shoes are leaving my feet black from the dye "I'm guessing" & I had a very hard time getting the black dye off my feet. I will now wear them with black sox's along with long pants & hope it stops giving off the dye, because I normally only wear them with shorts & would never wear sox's when wearing shorts.

I got the Navy/off-white tri-tones, and they look really good. Everyone in my fraternity has told me how great they look. They go with everything! I would definitely recommend these to anyone, they turn heads!

The shoes are pretty uncomfortable, and the leather is thinner than I expected. I bought the off white/blue/mahogany color pattern and the off white was a solid grey. I still enjoy and recommend sperry, but this just isn't one of their better products.

I have always needed shoe sizes to be wide. I haven't yet tried the original boat shoe in extra wide but my Billfish shoes are a perfect fit so I decided to order the originals in just the "wide" width and unfortunately they are very narrow across the crown of the foot and around the arch. Still trying to give them a shot to see if they loosen up after a break in. Not giving up on my Sperrys!

I bought the white/br/or shoes at the Dallas North Park store but realized I bought them 1/2 size too big when I tried them on at home. My top-siders are 1/2 size larger. When I went to the Dallas store to exchange them, they didn't have my size but offered to call another store (in Austin) and mail them to my house at no cost, and now I have the right size. I was impressed with the great service at the store and highly recommend the Sperry store! Thanks Dallas staff!

These are my second pair of Sperrys, and although they don't fit perfectly at first they are a great pair. One you find your size these shoes are great for every day use or can be dressed up for a more classy event.

Thin leather and off color descriptions

I fell in love with these shoes when I first saw them on Sperry's website. When they went down to $60 I decided to order a pair. The first thing I noticed when I received them was the slight difference in color as compared to the pictures on the internet; I realize that a picture seen on a screen isn't going to be 100% exact to what the actual product looks like, but what was supposed to be "off white" looks like a light gray, and what was supposed to be "mahogany" (a reddish-brown color) definitely lacks the red - it's more of a medium brown. The shoes are still attractive, however, just not exactly what I had expected. Also, the quality of the shoe just isn't that great. I assumed the quality would be similar to my Authentic Originals - but the leather on these shoes was much thinner and you can definitely tell.

I bought these shoes for my son, age 22. He loves them and wears them almost everyday to his new job! I like ordering online because they have every style and every size, unlike at the stores (even at the stores' websites). It was simple to order 2 sizes and return the one that didn't fit. I'll do it again.

I use this shoe as my everyday shoe wear, when not out in business. It is as good out sailing as it is walking my dog,. It gets wet and you let it dry, clean it, re-grease it and it is set to go again.
Also ordered the new X3 but haven't been able to test that in real circumstances, i.e. racing. One complaint regarding the sizing of the X3: It does not come in Wide and half numbers so I had to order a 11M which feels a little too long. We'll see.

I will admit that the two pair of boat shoes I have owned prior to these (both Sperry two tone) had a lug type (thicker) tread on the shoe and very well made. I looked on your web site and was unable to find the exact shoes I had but these looked very similar. I was very disappointed after wearing them for a day. My feet hurt as though I was walking around in my stocking feet. I think the shoes are not well made and I will not buy any other Sperry shoes..
PS, they are a good looking shoe
I have put 3 pictures of my old better constructed shoes on my review.
