These are by far the most comfortable sandals I have ever owned. Unfortnuntley after enjoyig them for almost 3 years my new puppy eat part of them, but luckily they still have the same ones available so I'm in for another pair!

This will be my second pair of the Santa Cruz Sandal. This is by far the best Sandal I have ever purchased. They fit comfortably right out of the box. They wear well around the water and boating. If you are looking for a good pair of sandals, these are the best.

Best "Flip Flop" Ever

I know they call it a "Thong Sandal", but I was born and raised in Florida and we call them Flip Flops! In Florida we can wear them almost year round. These are by far the most comfortable summer wear shoes around. Classy enough to wear in casual situations, restaurants, shopping, ball games, etc. You may pay a little more than your average Flip Flop but the comfort and durability make them so worth it!

I have been ordering this same design for years. like most i spend my time on my boat fishing in the summer and had always enjoyed the comfort that sperry top-sider has always delivered. The new design is cool but laks from the original design. The old design had a front lip that was larger which kept my toes from being jammed while running around with a fishing rod and a fish on not seeing where i am going they dont have that anymore which is a shame. I also was dissapointed in the craftmanship as the way the sandel is put together now seems that it is done in layers and it seems that the layers are not the same size so you get some edging that are not supposed to be there as well as some glu that is showing. I always have bought 2 pairs at a time and i hope that these will not dissapoint. i would of rather payed a few dollars more and got the same quality that was available in the past.

Disappointment in new sandal design

Last September I ordered a size 13, but they proved to be too large. I didn't return them because I tried wearing them a couple times. So I ordered a size smaller last month, and they're also a little large. But the bigger problem for me is the 'ridge' around the top edge of the sandal; it doesn't feel comfortable to me, unlike an older pair of your sandals I own that doesn't have the ridge. So yesterday I returned the second order and will have to look at other manufacturers for a sandal I like more. Sorry - I really like my old ones - I ordered new ones based on how well I liked my old ones. However, to me the new ones just don't measure up.

Little arch support

After buying several sandals from Sperry through the years and always being satisfied, suddenly the Santa Cruz model has very little arch support, it seems. Was there a change in how they are made? I actually returned them, something I can't ever remember doing before with any product. It cost me shipping, which Sperry wouldn't pay for, but at least I didn't have to keep a product not up to previous standards.

First let me say that I love the look and feel of these sandals, I own a boat and love how they do not mark or carry dirt onto the boat, my problem is that the thong part (piece of leather that goes between the big toe and next toe over) does not last, I went throgh two pairs in 6 months, I do not think that I am overly hard on shoes and have had other sandals that have lasted longer but I was not happy with how they brought dirt onto the boat. This review in mostly directed at Sperry to hopefully improve what I believe is a great Sandal and make it better.

I have to agree with the following post on the thong part of the sandal. It does not last and has been known to come apart. I believe that this the only thing that is wrong with those sandals.

Bought my 1st pair of Sperry Topsiders in Gulfshores, Alabama in the early 90s. They are so comfortable, that I have 3 pairs. I practically live in my Santa Cruz thongs. I still wear the original deck shoes also. I recently replaced my thongs as I finally wore the first pair out. Had them for 15 years. I would say I more than got my moneys worth.

I have bought a pair of these each summer, and I have to say there is no uniformity in the fit. One pair will have the toe extend way beyond my toes, another pair is right on target. Same with the heel. I wear them often, but I still don't think the sturdiness matches the price. I just haven't found anything better yet.

The Santa Cruz Thong sandals are the most comfortable sandals I have ever owned and I always ask for them because of their comfort. However the sandals constantly break where the toe separates and it's very disappointing. It seems as though what they use to separate the toes is not of quality. I keep telling myself I am not going to buy them again because of the defect but I just can't resist the comfort. I hope one day Sperry will find quality and these sandals not break. The last pair I received as a gift in July and it's only been 1 1/2 months and they broke again. One dissatisfied customer :(

I agree that I do like the sandel very much. However I have brought about ten pair maybe 15 and they always break or come undone at the thong. I would like sperry to fix this problem before I have to switch to another brank

These sandals are very comfortable but the quality has gone down in the last several years.The last two pair I have bought have both had the thongs pull out in less than a year.I hope that sperry comes up with a fix for the problem, but till then i'm going to try some Guy Harvy's and see how they hold up .
